The game showing up as MW3: Dedicated server is because you have CoD4 X installed. It's their method of enabling more Steam integration, even for players without the Steam version of the game. It showed up as "In-Mod" before, but that started to crash the game in Steam beta, so they had to revert it to this. 1. In Call of Duty 1.1, I am trying to "Start a new server". If I set "Dedicated" as "LAN", and start the server (after choosing the settings), the green console box is displayed. If I check the status there by typing "status", I can see that my server is running. I can join it by starting the game and going in the "local" servers. 9Lmeyt.
