The rifle accepts any compatible CZ 455/CZ 457 rimfire barrel and is straightforward to install. The barrel is of a light sporter-weight profile, 525mm long and chambered for the .22LR cartridge with matching one-in-16 twist rate and made of chrome molybdenum steel using a cold-hammer forging process.
I am looking for some suggestions for stock replacement for CZ 457 Varmint. The CZ wood stock is beautiful, just looking for something that would be more durable and possibly paintable. Would like to stay around 300.00, since the rifle was 600.00. Thanks in advance!
The 455 and 457 lottery accuracy odds (in 455 experience) are not quite as good. Do not blame the ammo for that. I think the lottery winner 457 (accuracy lottery) should do better than minute of squirrel. I would expect at lesst the occasional 5 shot 1/2 group at 50 yards with a 457 in 22lR. The 22mag will match that.
