The transmission malfunction light/message came up without warning (i.e. no indications of any problems prior to this). Car registered 12/1/2006 & we bought it 2nd hand Jan 2009 from main dealer as an ex Motability car. It's with Ford dealer who diagnosed the fault and it needs new gearbox/transmission. Ford Protect have authorised the repair.
