The Runemage is a hero class of the Fortress faction in Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate. Their faction skill is Runelore. With the exception of creature specialists and campaign heroes, Runemages start with 18-26 defenders, 8-11 spearwielders and 0-2 bear riders. The first scenario is a medium map with 3 enemy factions. Mutare must survive until the end and sheβs limited to level 10. As a starting bonus you can choose either the Pillar of Eyes, Quiet Eye of the Dragon or the 12 Harpy Hags. To get a quick start choose the 12 Harpy Hags. You start with a Dungeon town in the southeast corner of the map.
Send Corlagon out to capture the castles and then hunt down any remaining heroes to complete the scenario. The enemies are a green Wizard castle, an orange Knight castle and a yellow Knight castle. 7) Dragon Master. Take the Barbarian faction for this scenario. There are 2 enemy castles but youβll just be ignoring them.
You can get your first 4 level troops by the first week. They will form the base of your army for Castle, and can carry you through to mid game. Wood and Ore are crucial for any Town . Securing an Ore pit and Sawmill early on is compulsory for survival. Castle is good for beginners because you don't need much else to get your foundation started.
*Altar of Sacrifice Castle,Rampart,and Tower heroes may sacrifice artifacts for exp. Inferno,Necropolis,and Dungeon heroes may sacrifice creatures for exp. Stronghold,Fortress heroes may sacrifice art/creatures for exp. *Cyclops Stockpile 30% Fight 20 Cyclops for 4 of each resource.
Level 2: stone gargoyles are average lvl 2 units, use them to block enemy shooters. obsidian gargoyles aren't a necessary upgrade, but are better shooter blockers. Level 3: stone golems are very tough and make good shooter guards, being resistant to magic damage. iron golems are not very necessary but are still worth having for acceptable speed
Using summoned stacks to steal retaliation. Every time an enemy hits a summoned stack, that's damage that isn't going to your real troops. Clogging up lanes. Keeping a damaging stack from moving where they want to for a turn can give your troops the time they need to wipe that stack out.
Stop by the Ten to the west of the castle to get the password. This password can be used to open the barrier to the blue Knight castle to the north. Get some more troops for the third week and finis off the blue Knights to complete the scenario. 2) Island of Chaos. You start with a blue sorceress castle on the southern edge of the continent.
